Frequently Asked Questions

The model number is stamped on the underside of the faucet body, on the valve cartridge, or on the original packaging. For kitchen faucets, it may also be on a tag attached to the supply lines. If you cannot locate it, provide the approximate purchase date and a photo of the faucet to our support team for identification assistance.
Turn off the water supply at the shutoff valves behind the shower wall or at the main. Remove the handle trim and escutcheon plate to expose the valve body. Use a cartridge puller tool (available from Delta or plumbing supply stores) to pull the cartridge straight out. Note the cartridge orientation before removal. Insert the new cartridge in the same orientation and reassemble in reverse order. The process takes approximately 30–60 minutes for most models.
Delta's Limited Lifetime Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the original purchaser, including the finish and function of all components. It does not cover damage from improper installation, misuse, or use with non-Delta replacement parts. Commercial warranties vary by product line. Original proof of purchase is required for all claims.
Delta trim kits are designed exclusively for Delta Monitor® rough-in valves. Using Delta trim on a non-Delta valve is not supported and will void the warranty. However, Delta's Monitor® 14 and 17 series trims are backward-compatible with Delta Monitor® rough-in valves installed back to 1984, which is a significant advantage for renovation work where the rough-in valve is already in place.
Most Delta kitchen and bathroom faucets carry EPA WaterSense® certification, meaning they flow at 1.5 GPM or less — at least 32% below the 2.2 GPM federal baseline. WaterSense labeling is indicated on the product packaging and specification sheet. Shower heads meeting WaterSense criteria flow at 2.0 GPM or less. Product-specific GPM ratings are available on our spec sheets upon request.
Delta offers 20+ finish options including Chrome, Brilliance® Stainless, Matte Black, Champagne Bronze, Venetian Bronze, Arctic Stainless, and Spotshield® Brushed Nickel. Brilliance® finishes use an advanced electrochemical bonding process rated to resist tarnishing and corrosion for the life of the product. Spotshield® finishes resist water spots and fingerprints. All finishes are covered under the Limited Lifetime Warranty against pitting, corrosion, and flaking.
